I love this photograph by Paul Strand. This beggar in New York is quite obviously visually impaired, but still wears a sign saying 'BLIND'. I love the label. I want to do a series of these 'no shit' labelled people. Also interesting little fact- the oval badge above the 'BLIND' sign is her registered begging number. At the time you had to register to beg. As if. I wonder if they got taxed too?
